Nike sued after customers’ personal information was exposed

(NBC, KYMA) - Nike is being sued after customers' personal information was exposed.

A lawsuit filed in California alleges the global sneaker company failed to protect sensitive information, and waited too long to notify customers of a data breach.

The suit claims names, addresses, phone numbers, and payment info were exposed.

It says Nike discovered the breach around January 21, but didn't notify victims for over a month.

The suit is seeking at least $5 million in damages. This includes credit monitoring services for those impacted.
