President Trump appoints first members of PCAST

(NBC, KYMA) - President Donald Trump announced the first members of his President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) Wednesday.

PCAST, established by an executive order, will bring together industry leaders to advise the president and provide recommendations on strengthening American leadership in science and technology.

The council will be co-chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios, and its members will include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, DELL CEO Michael Dell, Oracle Chief Technology Officer Larry Ellison and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang among others.

The White House says PCAST may be composed of up to 24 members, and additional members will be appointed in the near future along with information about the council's first meeting.

Appointees are Marc Andreessen, Sergey Brin, Safra Catz, Michael Dell, Jacob DeWitte, Fred Ehrsam, Larry Ellison, David Friedberg, Jensen Huang, John Martinis, Bob Mumgaard, Lisa Su, and Mark Zuckerberg.
