San Luis cruises past Somerton to win sixth game in last seven

Strong bats and tough defense helped the Sidewinders score big

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA) - The San Luis Sidewinders delivered a dominant performance Tuesday, defeating the Somerton Toros baseball 10–0 in six innings.

San Luis took control early and never looked back, building a sizable lead by the third inning and continuing to apply pressure throughout the game.

Despite a solid effort on the mound from Damian Salas, the Toros were unable to slow down the Sidewinders’ offense.

San Luis extended its lead in the fourth inning and added to it in the fifth. Obet Zaragoza sparked the offense with triple that rolled to the outfield wall. Two batters later, Caleb Perez drove in two runs with a gap shot, pushing the lead to 8–0.

San Luis capped off the shutout victory with strong all-around play, improving to 10-2-1 on the season. Somerton, dropped to 4-2 with the loss
