The 49 point loss was caps off the Sun Devils season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KYMA) - The Iowa State Cyclones overwhelmed the Arizona State Sun Devils 91–42 in the second round of the Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament, handing Arizona State the most lopsided loss in conference tournament history.

The seventh-ranked Cyclones controlled the game from the start and never let up, cruising past the Sun Devils in a dominant performance that set a new record for the largest margin of victory in Big 12 tournament play.

Milan Momcilovic led Iowa State with 21 points, while Joshua Jefferson added a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Arizona State struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting just 5% from 3-point range. Santiago Trouet led the Sun Devils with 13 points.

The loss caps a poor season for Arizona State, and marked the end of Bobby Hurley's 11-year tenure with the program.
