Woman accused of shooting at Rihanna’s home identified

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA) - The woman suspected of shooting at Rihanna's Beverly Crest home over the weekend has been identified.

Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) returned to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's home Monday, one day after police say 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz, a resident of Florida, fired gunshots at the pop star's property.

Police say Ortiz fired gunshots at the front gate, using an AR 15 style rife.

LAPD arrested Ortiz three miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, but this is not Ortiz's first run in with the law. In 2023, she was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence battery.

As for the shooting Sunday, aerial footage shows several bullet holes on the gate outside the pop star's home, but by Monday morning, they were already covered up.

A Hollywood Tour bus driver stopped by to check it out.

"We just wish for her safety. We just wish that these people would respect the celebrities and we are praying for her peace," the bus driver expressed.

Ortiz was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, and she's being held on a $10 million bond.

Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and their three children were in their home at the time of the shooting.
