UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture coming to Yuma for YFL fight weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A legendary name in mixed martial arts is making a stop in Yuma this week.

Randy Couture, a five-time champion and member of the UFC Hall of Fame, will be in town Friday night for a special meet-and-greet ahead of this weekend’s YFL fights.

Couture is scheduled to headline the official weigh-ins and fan event Friday evening at Swanky's, giving local MMA fans a rare opportunity to meet one of the sport’s most recognizable figures.

Also appearing at the event will be UFC veteran Kelvin Gastelum, who is expected to join fans and fighters during the festivities.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and is free and open to the public.

The appearance will help kick off a full weekend of fights, as local and regional fighters prepare to step into the cage Saturday night for the latest YFL fight card in Yuma.
