Tracking unseasonably warm temperatures for late February
The 90s are here and they will be sticking around for a little bit. Daytime highs will be trending well-above-normal with daily record highs being possible.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- The 90s have finally arrived! These are the first set of 90s of the year. This is a rare event to see the 90s in late February, but certainly not unheard of. Take a look at our highs from this afternoon.

El Centro TIED the daily record high for today's date this afternoon by reaching 94-degrees. Yuma didn't tie or break any records today, but it was close. These temperatures are 18-degrees ABOVE-AVERAGE for this time of year. There are also more chances to tie and beat daily records later this week.

A strong and unseasonably ridge of high pressure is dominating all of us here in the southwest, resulting in our daytime highs trending 15 degrees above-average.

This warm weather we do have minor heat risks, so make sure to stay hydrated and take shade breaks if you are going to be outdoors for a long period of time.

It's going to be toasty the next several days! I am tracking and watching for daily record highs later this week and through the weekend. Record temperatures are looking very likely Friday-Sunday. If you are going to the BBQ & Brew Fest on Saturday it will be pretty warm.
Get ready! We have a double event Tuesday March 3rd. It will be a Full Moon AND we will also see the Total Lunar Eclipse as well. This is when the moon will appear red.
