Pima County authorities conduct operation near Nancy Guthrie’s home

TUCSON, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA) - There was police activity that happened Friday night near Nancy Guthrie's home.

A Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) spokesperson confirms to NBC News that the law enforcement operation was related to the investigation into Guthrie's disappearance.

PCSD vehicles are blocking a street about two miles from Guthrie's home.

In a post to X, PCSD said it will not hold a media briefing in regards to the Guthrie investigation, but said a written statement is "forthcoming."

PCSD says investigators have collected DNA that isn't Guthrie's or those closest to her from the property.

They're still working to identify who it belongs to, noting they will not disclose where it was located.
