Suns take tough 109-103 loss to 76ers
PHOENIX, (KYMA, KECY) - The Phoenix Suns suffered a frustrating 109–103 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, a game that spoiled the return of Devin Booker and Jalen Green.
Phoenix struggled mightily from beyond the arc, finishing just 11-for-46 from three-point range. The Suns missed their first 18 attempts from deep and fell behind by as many as 19 points before mounting a second-half rally. Despite cutting the deficit to four late in the fourth quarter, Phoenix was unable to get over the hump.
Joel Embiid led Philadelphia with 33 points, frequently getting to the free-throw line and disrupting the Suns’ rhythm. Tyrese Maxey added 29 points, including late free throws that sealed the game. Dillon Brooks paced Phoenix with 28 points and helped fuel the late comeback effort.
Booker, playing his first game since Jan. 23, finished with 21 points in 32 minutes, while Green scored eight points off the bench in limited action. Both players were on minute restrictions but showed flashes as they worked their way back into form.
Despite the loss, the Suns showed fight late, forcing turnovers and trimming a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit down to a single-possession game before time ran out. Phoenix was outrebounded 50–40 and continues to search for consistency on the defensive end.
The Suns next game will come against Dallas and is set for Tuesday, as the Suns look to bounce back and build momentum heading into the break.
