Rhino at Milwaukee County Zoo predicts early spring

MILWAUKEE (CBS, KYMA) - The Milwaukee County Zoo turned to its rhinos for this year's Groundhog Day prediction.

The zoo has been without a groundhog since Gordy the Groundhog died in 2023.

Since then, the zoo used goats and penguins the last two years, which predicted early springs after not seeing their shadows.

According to the Zoo, Kianga the Eastern black rhino predicted an early spring writing, "Cloudy skies and an early spring forecast from Eastern black rhino Kianga-bring on the blossoms!"
