Tracking daytime highs warming to the 80s

Tracking clearer skies and more sunshine with warmer temperatures. Daytime highs are expected to reach the 80s by the weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Today has been a little breezy during the afternoon hours. Winds will be much calmer and lighter this evening.

Occasionally breezy conditions will still be possible into Friday, where gusts could still reach up to 20 MPH.

For the hours ahead, skies will remain clear with cooler temperatures. Lows will cool down into the upper 40s and low 50s by the morning.

It's also National Puzzle Day! Great weather to stay inside, working on a puzzle.

A ridge of high pressure will continue to build for the western part of the United States, bringing above normal warmth for the rest of the week and through the weekend.

It will be a warm close to January and a warm start to February as highs will be trending in the 80s. Tracking a slight cool down early next week, with highs warming back to the low 80s again late next week.

Heads up! It will be a full moon on Sunday February 1st. This moon is also called the Snow Moon.
