Yuma Catholic cruises to 59-42 win over Phoenix Christian
The Shamrocks win four straight, secure sixth victory in last seven
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks beat the Phoenix Christian Cougars 59-42 at Carol McElhaney Oden Gym on Tuesday to extend their win streak to four.
The first quarter was back and forth with the Shamrocks going into the second frame up 14-10, but they would find a way to pull away and win by 17 points.
Santiago Vazquez Lima led the way for the Rocks with 14 points. Sophomore guard Thomas Crase added 12 points while Junior Darwin Welsh had 10, including a pair of threes in the first quarter.
Noe Zamudio would get to the cup too, scoring six points and getting six assists.
Yuma Catholic will hit the road this Friday to face the Parker Broncs at 6 p.m.
