ICE agent shatters truck window while arresting man in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (CNN, KYMA) - New video shows federal immigration agents in Arizona shattering a man's window before taking him into custody.

Across the street from the Circle K is the grocery store where Steven Davis happened to be shopping before he saw ICE agents parked outside.

"They pulled out of the parking lot following someone and I followed them here into the Circle K," Davis shared.

He just recently started volunteering with Tucson Rapid Response which trained him for incidents like this. So, he started recording.

Just 20 seconds into the video, footage captured the ICE agent shattering the window of the man's truck.

Davis quickly starts asking questions. Then, the video shows ICE agents arresting the man and putting him into their vehicle, with his food from the grocery store still inside his damaged truck.

"I never thought that things could be like this in this country. I never thought that, and...it breaks my heart," Davis expressed.

Davis has been present for more ICE arrests since the video just a week ago.

Even during an interview with a news outlet in Tucson, he and his fellow volunteers were notified of more ICE activity in the area.

"Sandario and Picture Rocks South Park watching the road. Two officers in gear in a white van," Davis remarked.

So he gets in the car and tries to make it on time but more often than not, but when they do capture it on video, they say its worth the miles on the road.

"Its already resolved by the time that we get there, the persons kidnapped and everyone's gone," Davis spoke. "We're going to protect our neighbors and that's the bottom line for us. People say to me, are you trying to obstruct? No, were trying to expose and show people what's happening."

City officials told the media they have not been in communication with ICE about their enforcement and that most of their knowledge about the arrests have been through social media.
