Protesters barricade in San Diego mayor’s office

SAN DIEGO (CNN, KYMA) - Six protesters who barricaded themselves in the lobby of San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria's City Hall office were arrested Friday.

Police say they barricaded themselves in for about two and a half hours. They were arrested on suspicion of trespassing and could face vandalism charges.

The protesters said they want the mayor to work with police to set up clear policies on how law enforcement will protect the community from immigration agents.

Mayor Garcia said, in a statement, he made it clear in last week's state of the city address, and in a July executive order, the San Diego Police Department do not take part in federal immigration enforcement.
