Yuma Catholic crushes Parker 9-0 to extend win streak
The Shamrocks extend their win streak to three with their most recent victory Thursday night
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks cruised to a 9-0 victory over the Parker Broncs on Thursday night at Ricky Gwynn Stadium to extend their win streak to three.
To start the second half, the Rocks were already up five, but continued to add to their large lead.
Senior defenseman Isaac Garcia took a shot from way outside the box and drilled the bottom right corner out of reach of the Parker keeper.
Later, Maddux Flores scored his first goal of the season from the penalty box.
To add to the lead, the teams leading goal scorer Cade Garcia added to his hat trick by scoring his fourth of the night.
Finally, to put a bow on the game, Diego Pompa netted one as well.
Yuma Catholic was so dominant they called the game early as a result of the mercy rule.
The Shamrocks next game is Sat. Jan 24, against ALA-Ironwood at 1 p.m.
