Plays of the Week: January 12-18

We countdown the best plays of the week from around the Desert Southwest

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After a long break, NBC's Top Plays of the Week returns. Here are the top plays from last week, Jan. 12-18.

At number five, Gila Ridge's Pedro Luna slams his opponent on their back en route to a pin on his Senior Night.

At the four spot, Southwest's Sebastian Martinez makes multiple diving saves to keep the Eagles within striking distance of the Spartans.

For the third-best play of the week we go back to Gila Ridge, where Adam Kempton channels his inner lineman and does his best impression of an Oklahoma Drill to secure a pin. Kempton and the Hawks would cruise to a 52-24 victory over the Pinnacle Pioneers.

The second best play of the week features Matadors Boubacar Diatta who goes coast-to-coast and finishes with a poster.

And the top play of the week belongs to the Central Spartans. Jose Lomeli sent a ball into the box where Ryan Burke heads it to Edgar German for the beautiful header goal.
