Grand jury indicts man accused of killing Ohio couple
(NBC, KYMA) - The surgeon accused of killing his ex-wife and her husband, a dentist, at their Ohio home has been indicted by a grand jury on murder charges.
Michael David McKee is facing a five-count indictment handed down Friday in Franklin County, Ohio for the murders of Spencer and Monique Tepe. The indictment includes four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary.
Monique and Spencer Tepe were found dead last month at their Columbus, Ohio home.
McKee was arrested last Saturday by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Rockford, Illinois, and appeared in an Illinois courtroom Monday.
The indictment comes after police said that a weapon linked to the deaths of the couple was found at McKee's home.
McKee, who lives in Chicago, is expected to be extradited to Columbus, but as of Friday, he is still being held in the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford, according to authorities.
If convicted, McKee faces a maximum term of life in prison without parole.
