Tracking well above-average temperatures

An unseasonable ridge of high pressure will be keeping our temperatures well above-average for the rest of the week and into early next week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Wednesday! Afternoon temperatures are warmer than what we felt this week and are already trending well above average for this time of year.

Highs reached the 80s this afternoon for both Yuma and Imperial Valley. Yuma also TIED the daily record high, reaching 81 degrees. These high temperatures are over 10 degrees warmer than normal.

Our evenings will still stay chilly, so no changes during our later hours.

We will have clear skies, light winds, and cooling temperatures through tonight. Eventually, overnight lows will dip into the low 50s. That is warmer than normal, but still pretty chilly.

A ridge of high pressure will be staying toward our north, will keep our weather warm, sunny, and dry for the next several days.

Tracking pretty consistent weather for the rest of the week and into early next week. Daytime highs will be near or reaching the 80s later this week.

We may see a few clouds early next week, but it will continue to stay dry with no rain expected.

Looking at our temperature outlook, we will be staying warmer than normal for the next 6-10 days on this side of the country.
