12 In-N-Out restaurants in Southern California targeted in fake money scheme
(CNN, KYMA) - Authorities in Southern California say they have arrested two suspects tied to a counterfeit cash investigation.
The Glendale Police Department say two women are accused of using counterfeit $100 bills to target around a dozen In-N-Out Burger restaurants in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Police say 24-year-old Auriona Lewis and 26-year-old Tatiyanna Foster were caught on surveillance video visiting an In-N-Out Burger in Glendale, California in October.
Police said Lewis was found with the fake money as well as receipts and gift cards that tied her to similar crimes.
Lewis is due in court on January 20 to face charges of felony counterfeiting and grand theft.
Charges are still pending against Foster. She remains in jail without bail due to a possible probation violation and is also set to be in court later this month.
