Winds continue big push through region this weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - For the past several days, wind gusts have been making its presence known in the Desert Southwest, and it's not done yet.

Gusts will continue to hit above 20 mph, even getting up to the high 20s, Saturday evening and at points on Sunday morning and into the evening in Yuma County.

As for the Imperial Valley, gusts will sit in the mid-teens for most of Sunday.

Along with the increasing winds, temperature highs continue to sit in the high 60s across the entire region.

As is currently being tracked, peak temperatures should get into the low 70s Sunday, and continue to pick up throughout next week.

Wear your windbreakers if you plan on heading outdoors this weekend.
