Average temperatures and cloudy skies set to return after a one-day hiatus
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Desert Southwest saw temperatures get up to 76° F in certain areas, with the Imperial Valley seeing highs a couple degrees above Yuma County.
These temperatures are not sticking around, however, as the region will return to its moderate temperatures Monday. Expect highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Winds picked up this afternoon, getting to 18mph or more. This evening will see a decline in those gusts, most likely into the 10-12mph range, and remain that way heading into Monday afternoon.
Sunday saw more relief from overcast conditions than was being tracked originally, but there's a good chance the cloudy skies make their way back into the region for the beginning of the work week as well.
