Tracking winds and more rain chances on the way

We have more active weather still on the way. Tracking stronger winds and cooler temperatures starting this weekend. There's also more and higher rain chances for next week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Friday! It's the last Friday of 2025! This evening it will be calm, cloudy, and chilly. Great weather as we get ready to head into the weekend.

Now that Christmas is behind us, we are just 6 days away from New Year's!

LOOKING AHEAD: Next week, we have another weather system moving in to bring the Desert Southwest more chances for rain showers, and we could see above-normal rainfall.

Chance for showers will continue to climb next week, but the wettest and highest days are favoring New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Right now, rain totals are looking around a tenth of an inch up to a quarter of an inch. I will keep tracking and bring more details next week. Stay tuned.

This weekend we will still see some clouds with cooler, but seasonable temperatures. Tracking stronger winds moving in Sunday and into early next week with gusts of 20-30 MPH.

Plus, get ready for a wet for New Year's Eve and News Year's Day as we have another round of showers for multiple days next week.
