Above average temperatures continue through weekend

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Temperature highs continue to hit above 80°F, about five to eight degrees higher than average for this time of year in the Desert Southwest.

Other than the higher temperatures, everything seems to be normal in the region.

Winds will remain calm for most of the weekend, but as is currently being tracked, there is potential for a quick pick-up in the Sunday late-morning-to-early-afternoon window. Gusts could reach up to 15-20 mph anywhere from El Centro to Wellton.

Yuma saw cloudier skies this afternoon and that trend has a good chance to continue, not only in the city, but across both Yuma County and the Imperial Valley.

The sun may not be as prominent this weekend, but the heat will still be felt.
