Hugh Jackman attends ‘Song Sung Blue’ premiere in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (NBC, KYMA) - Actor Hugh Jackman brought Hollywood glamour to Milwaukee's Oriental Theatre Tuesday night for the premiere of "Song Sung Blue," a film celebrating the city's beloved musical duo Lightning and Thunder.
Fans all across the Milwaukee area came out for the star-studded event.
"It's an amazing moment for a Milwaukee musician to get this kind of notoriety," said Paula Lee, a Milwaukee resident.
The night was highlighted as Jackman arrived to the premiere in style, greeting fans and signing autographs on his way to the premiere of "Song Sung Blue," the film based on the iconic Milwaukee duo Lighting and Thunder, a Neil Diamond tribute band that played through the 1980s and 1990s.
"I remember seeing them at state fair a few times and how fun they were and I'm excited to see their story on the big screen. I've watched the documentary about them. I found out recently that a friend from work is friends with them, so I'm really happy for Claire [Sardina]. I think it's going to be a really cool event down at the Oriental tonight."

Before the premiere, fans lined up at Kopps in Greenfield. That's where Jackman served hundreds of scoops of custard to fans that lined the block.
The movie premiered late Tuesday night and will be open to the general public on Christmas Day.
