‘Rage bait’ named Oxford’s Word of the Year
(CNN, KYMA) - Despite actually being two words, "rage bait" has been named Oxford's Word of the Year.
That's described as the feeling a person gets when reading something online that appears to purposely incite anger or get a reaction.
According to the U.K. based dictionary, the use of "rage bait" tripled in 2025, and more than 30,000 people voted to help choose the word of year.
"Aura farming" and "biohack" were the two other finalists. To learn more about this, click here.
