STOCKTON, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - Multiple people were injured after a shooting in Stockton, California Saturday night.
According to San Joaquin County Sheriff PIO Heather Brent, 14 people were injured by gunfire, and four of those have died. The conditions of the other 10 victims are unclear, but they were taken to the hospital.
Authorities said the ages of the victims range from children to adult.
The sheriff's office says the shooting took place at a banquet hall, located in the area of Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road, where a family was celebrating.

"We're very grateful for our local law enforcement agencies. Also during the press conference, Brent called this shooting "unfathomable" because of the "young children who [were] harmed."
Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi also spoke at the press conference.
"This is Thanksgiving weekend. This is when families come together, celebrate, share memories, give each other love and unfortunately, tonight, Heaven is a little bigger with the individuals, children and adults that unfortunately do not make it. Stockton is better than this. Whoever did this, if you know that, as the District Attorney just said, please call Crime Stoppers. You can leave an anonymous tip. We've got work to do, and this this type of violence. Again, our city is better than that."
