CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Snow hits northwest Wisconsin

HAYWARD, Wisc. (CBS, KYMA) - Rain changed to snow in northwest Wisconsin on the night of Tuesday as powerful gusts and heavy snow combined to create blizzardy conditions, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Egan Young captured footage of snowfall in Hayward at about 8:05 p.m. Central, which left roadways and terrain blanketed.

"Amazing first winter storm of the season in Hayward, WI! Nice to see this after a very long snowless fall," Young said in a post to X.

The NWS issued a Winter Storm Warning for the region through Wednesday evening, with snow accumulating up to 11 inches and gusts of up to 45 mph.
