Car wash in Southern California transforms into haunted house for Halloween

ANAHEIM, Calif. (CBS, KYMA) - A one-of-a-kind Halloween attraction is offering scares and thrills to residents in Southern California while they stayed buckled in.

The Haunted Car Wash in Anaheim is actually a car wash that transforms into a haunted house for the season.

Actors dress as clowns, zombies and monsters, leaping from the shadows to frighten drivers who dare to enter.

Organizers say its fun for the whole family.

"If you're a little more spooked or maybe you don't know if your children, if you can bring your children, maybe this could be their first haunt experience and see how they do because They don't have to be open. The windows can be closed and the doors can be shut and they can feel safe inside," said Veronica Young, the co-founder of the Haunted Car Wash.

Drivers can leave their doors unlocked and windows down for an extra scare.

"We've been to a lot of spooky stuff this season and this is by far the scariest," said one attendee.

The event runs until Halloween day.
