Temps remaining consistent to start the week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Dry and mostly quiet weather will continue across Yuma and Imperial Counties through the week, with temperatures holding slightly above normal for late October.

Highs will generally reach the upper 80s to low 90s across the lower deserts, while overnight lows settle into the upper 50s and 60s.

The most noticeable change in our weather will come Tuesday into Wednesday, as a weak cold front slides south through the region.

The system will bring breezy to locally windy conditions, especially during the afternoon and early evening hours. Winds could gust between 20 to 30 miles per hour, particularly along the Lower Colorado River Valley and near mountain passes.

Despite the front, no rain is expected, and skies will remain mostly clear through the week. After midweek, a gradual cooling trend is expected as another weak system passes to the north, lowering temperatures a few degrees by the weekend.

Highs will likely fall back into the mid to upper 80s by Friday and Saturday.

Humidity levels will stay low, ranging from 10-15% across the lower deserts to near 20% in higher terrain. Fire danger will remain elevated at times due to the combination of dry air and occasional gusty winds.

Overall, the pattern remains dry and stable for at least the next 10 days a stretch of classic late October weather for desert communities in southwest Arizona and southeast California.
