‘No Kings’ Protest kicks off nationwide

(NBC, KYMA) - "No Kings" rallies against the Trump administration kicked off nationwide Saturday.

Crowds of protesters already gathered in some of the nation's largest cities. These include Atlanta, Miami and Concord, Massachusetts so far.

Organizers say there are more than 2,500 "No Kings" rallies planned for Saturday. They emphasized that the demonstrations would be peaceful, a direct response to Republican and Trump administration claims that the protests could be unsafe.

Several governors have activated the National Guard, and President Donald Trump has expanded deployment to Democratic-led cities ahead of the protests.
