Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs announce run for re-election

PHOENIX (CBS, KYMA) - Governor Katie Hobbs (D-Ariz.) announced she was seeking a second term Wednesday in an ad campaign running on her social media accounts.

Governor Hobbs has served as governor since 2023 after previously serving as Secretary of State, and will likely run unopposed in the 2026 Democratic gubernatorial primary, according to KPHO.

Republicans who are also running for governor include Rep. David Schweikert, Rep. Andy Biggs and housing developer Karrin Taylor Robson, according to KPHO.
