Dry stretch continues, but cooler changes on the way

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - High pressure remains in control across Yuma and Imperial Counties, keeping skies clear and conditions dry through Thursday.

Temperatures will continue a slow climb, with highs in the mid to upper 90s and a few spots likely reaching triple digits Thursday. By Friday, a low-pressure system moving across the West will bring a noticeable shift.

Breezy to windy conditions are expected, especially across Imperial County and along the Colorado River Valley, with gusts around 20–30 mph possible.

That system will also bring relief from the heat, dropping daytime highs back into the lower 90s by the weekend.

Overnight lows will fall into the low to mid-60s, giving the region a much more fall-like feel heading into next week.
