Five dead in house fire in Pennsylvania

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. (NBC, KYMA) - State police in Pennsylvania now confirmed five people, including four children, are dead after a house fire in Carbon County early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say one woman and three boys and one girl were found inside the home on Willow Street in Franklin Township.

Crews were called shortly before midnight and found the first floor and part of the second floor fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews spent nearly six hours at the scene.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
