Gastelum and Garcia shine at Noche UFC

Kelvin Gastelum secured another big win to his resume by unanimous decision while Rafa Garcia wins by TKO

SAN ANTONIO (KYMA) - Yuma local Kelvin Gastelum defeated Dustin Stoltzfus in a fight that went the distance by unanimous decision while Brawley, California local, Rafa Garcia, who fights out of Mexicali beat lightweight Veteran Jared Gordon with a third-round TKO.

Gastelum missed weight for the fourth time in his career, weighing six pounds over the scheduled 185-pound fight. Stoltzfus still agreed to continue with the fight, and ultimately received 35% of Gastelum's fight purse as a result.

Meanwhile, Garcia was tough, hitting Gordon with elbows and punches for the TKO finish at the 2:27 mark of Round 3.

Despite being the betting underdog, the Valley native rose to the occasion for one of his most impressive performances in his 11-year pro career and is now 4-1 in his fast five trips to the Octagon.
