Prayer vigil held at Kennedy Center to honor Charlie Kirk
WASHINGTON (NBC, KYMA) - Across the country, numerous vigils honoring Charlie Kirk have been organized, and Sunday night, a prayer vigil was held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The vigil began with song and prayer, with the crowd singing together. It was a night filled with mourning and celebrating the life of Charlie Kirk.
The event was opened to the public, with supporters, conservative leaders, grassroots activists, congressional and administration staff, and members of the public who simply wanted to honor Kirk.
Arizona State Senator Jake Hoffman (R) spoke at the vigil following two of Kirk's longtime friends.
Some members of the Trump Administration were in attendance as well, and addressed the public.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. all shared their memories of kirk.
