Commercial fire in Minneapolis engulfs at least four buildings

MINNEAPOLIS (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A commercial fire in Minneapolis engulfed at least four buildings, causing several of them to partially collapse, the fire department said.

Footage captured by X user @ReaperProjectV1 shows the blaze raging, as seen from Northeast Park Sunday.

"It's an absolutely massive fire. Biggest fire I've seen in Minneapolis," he says in the footage.

The fire broke out at a two-story commercial building in the area of Central Avenue and spread to other buildings, the fire department said.

Power lines had to be shut down as they were blocking access to a building, and a nearby rail track was investigated to ensure cars on the tracks were empty, the department said.
