More than 60 people in Chicago participate in inaugural ‘bald-off’
CHICAGO (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - The Windy City isn't much a problem for the winner of an odd contest held over the weekend.
More than 60 contestants competed in the inaugural "bald-off" in Chicago, a celebration of baldness to name the "baddest baldie."
Some donned bald caps, costumes, and makeup while others simply let their hairless-head shine for the crowd.
Attorney Tom Burdelik won the fans over with his Mr. Clean look. He was awarded a Pitbull Greatest Hits CD, a Megamind DVD, and more.
"I do Mr. Clean every Halloween, and people just love that stuff. They stop me on the street and take pictures just like they did today. I didn't know if I was going to win, there were great costumes out here today, so I just did the best I could. Pretty easy for me because I'm always bald," Burdelik expressed.
The organizers, a sketch comedy group called "It Left The Group Chat," say they wanted to bring people together to have a good time and laugh.
