CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Cars in South Carolina drive through floodwaters

CHARLESTON, S.C. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Cars were seen traveling through floodwater in Charleston, South Carolina Friday amid warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS) over the "dangerous" conditions.

Footage posted to Instagram by Morgan Rees shows the floodwater flowing onto the sidewalk as cars navigate the tricky driving conditions.

The NWS said as much as four to six inches of rain had fallen on Friday, creating "dangerous flash flooding" across parts of the Charleston metro area for the afternoon.

Residents were advised to avoid walking or driving through the floodwaters.
