Ketel Marte plays hero again in the ninth
Arizona is back in the Wild Card race, winning five of their last six games with some last inning heroics from Ketel Marte.
ARLINGTON, Texas (KYMA, KECY) - Ketel Marte hit a go ahead three-run homer in the ninth inning once again, lifting the Diamondbacks over the Rangers 6-4 on Wednesday night.
Marte was dominant going 4-5 on the night, with the game winning home run and four RBIs. This marks the second baseman's second night in a row hitting a game winning shot in the ninth.
Arizona was trailing the majority of the game, but the tide started to shift when Geraldo Perdomo hit a 400 foot bomb to right center off his former teammate Merrill Kelly. This brought the D-Backs within one, but Texas would find a way to score later.
Once the ninth inning rolled around, it was sink or swim for the Snakes, and Marte delivered again for his 23 home run of the season.
Arizona is now 5.5 games out of the Wild Card Series as they head to Colorado for a four game showdown with the Rockies.
