Low winds pair with average early August heat

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The temperature is expected to cap out at 109 degrees Fahrenheit in Yuma and 112 degrees Fahrenheit in El Centro Sunday.

Peak temperatures are estimated to remain this way throughout the beginning of the week before ticking up a couple of degrees towards midweek.

Wind gusts will push the low double digits, but for the most part, will not speed up to the point of much concern.

If possible, take proper preparations for the influx of heat set to hit on Wednesday and Thursday.
