Spiking weekend heat set to dwindle through the early week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Sunday is going to be another average day as far as temperature goes. The highs will reach upwards of 110 degrees and cool down to the mid-100s as the week progresses.

Wind gusts will be noticeable from Yuma County to El Centro, but will not play a prominent factor in the weather over the next couple of days with breezes topping out at around 20 mph.

Ocotillo and Salton City, on the other hand, will reach a maximum of 50mph Monday night, heading into early Tuesday morning, and around 30mph on Sunday evening.
