News 11 Weather: Hang onto your hats!

Dusty and gusty conditions greet us to begin a new week, another Extreme Heat Warning lingers

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - We begin the new week with temperatures at or below our average for this time of year. Gusty conditions are tossing dirt, sand and dust across portions of the viewing area.

Our temperatures will quickly take on a noticeable change heading into Tuesday and beyond with an Extreme Heat Warning set for Wednesday morning and lasting until Thursday evening.

Highs forecast to reach and exceed 115 degrees across many of the lower desert communities Wednesday.

Again, The heat will result in widespread Major Heat Risk with Extreme Heat Warnings in effect for much of the region Tuesday through Thursday.
