CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Rainbow curves into supercell in North Dakota

REGENT, N.D. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A rainbow and a supercell made for a stunning sunset view in North Dakota's Hettinger County on Thursday, June 19.

Footage captured by Landon Moeller shows a rainbow arcing into what he described as a 50,000-foot supercell.

"Looking up at the 50k ft supercell in North Dakota yesterday before sunset," Moeller said in a post to X.

The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Grant, Hettinger, and Stark counties on Thursday, warning of possible tornadoes, strong winds, and golf ball–sized hail.
