Dog in California stands up to bear who got inside a home

MONROVIA, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A dog named Doodle came nose to nose with a bear who got inside a home in Southern California.

Surveillance video shows the bear give Doodle a sniff.

Doodle briefly holds his ground before taking off as the intruder continues to search the house.

This is in community of Monrovia, which is close to the mountains. Neighbors say they're used to seeing bears in the area, though not necessarily in their kitchens.

Video also captured the animal having a tracker on its neck, so it's likely been caught breaking and entering before.
