News 11 Weather: Extreme heat continues

Extreme Heat Warning in effect until 8:00 p.m. this evening across the viewing area

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Hot and dry weather is forecast throughout the entire week with the hottest days expected to be today and Thursday.

An Extreme Heat Warning went into effect on Saturday morning and is currently in effect through this evening.

High temperatures are expected to range from 109 to 114 degrees across the lower deserts.

A widespread moderate heat risk is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday before areas of major heat risk are likely for Thursday.
