Zicam and Orajel products recalled over potential fungal contamination

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Zicam and Orajel products are being recalled over potential fungal contamination.

According to the FDA, the recalled products include Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs and Nasal AllClear Swabs as well as Orajel Baby Teething Swabs.

Officials say fungi could be present in the items' cotton swab components, and consumers are "advised to immediately" stop using the recalled products.

According to the FDA, recalled products were distributed nationwide in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, but no serious adverse events have been reported at this time.
