Salmon sold at Aldi stores recalled
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Some shoppers in the western U.S. should take a closer look inside the refrigerators. Santa Monica Seafood has announced a recall of 16-ounce packages of Atlantic salmon portions with seafood stuffing.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, the product might include undeclared soy that could pose serious threats for people with health-related allergies.
The salmon packages were sold in all the grocery stores in California, Nevada and Arizona. They have a use and freeze by date of June 2.
As of May 24, there have been no reports of any illnesses. Consumers who have brought the salmon may be advised to return them to an Aldi store for a full refund.
