Judge blocks Trump’s Department of Education layoffs
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Hundreds of Department of Education employees will be getting their jobs back after a federal judge temporarily reinstated workers who were let go earlier this year by the Trump administration.
The judge said that the cuts have led to funding delays and uncertainty for school districts all across the country.
He also blocked President Donald Trump's executive order that focused on the dismantling of the agency.
No word yet on how many of the fired workers plan to go back to their jobs. The Trump administration is expected to challenge this decision.
