Tracking slightly cooler, but still warm temperatures for the holiday weekend

Get your pool floaties ready! We are in for a warm weather for Memorial Day weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Happy Friday we still have triple-digit heat again Friday, but we are a few degrees cooler than Thursday.

If you are heading out for any graduation ceremonies or celebrations Friday night, it will be warm and breezy with clear skies and dry conditions. Have fun and congrats to all the graduates!

We do have stronger winds this evening especially in Imperial County with gusts up to 35 MPH being possible.

More winds are expected tomorrow especially in Imperial County during the afternoon and evening hours. Take a look below at Friday and Saturday's futuretrack wind gusts map.

Slightly cooler temperatures will move in this weekend with highs in the upper 90s, which is close to average for late May.

Remember if you are going to be spending time outdoors or on the water for the holiday weekend, make sure to practice heat and water safety. Stay cool and hydrate and be safe.

We will have quiet and dry weather for next week with another warm-up later next week where highs will go back into the low and mid 100s.
