Calexico baseball opens postseason with offensive explosion, beating Vista 12-2
Two consecutive four-run innings pushed the Bulldogs past the Panthers to advance to the third round of the San Diego Section playoffs
CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Calexico baseball (21-4-1) took down Vista (18-10) 12-2 in the second round of the CIF San Diego Section playoffs.
The Bulldogs brought their bats out to open their quest for a postseason title, scoring in four of the first five innings.
Among those were two straight four-run innings in the bottom of the third and fourth.
With the win, the Bulldogs advance to the third round of the Division III championships, with a home matchup against Mission Bay set for Friday at 4:00 p.m.
